Frequently asked questions
Which of the three homes suits my group?
Villa Fornaci and Villa Montecristo each sleep up to 6 — ideal for families or two couples — while the Scalinate apartment is perfect for up to 4. All three sit in Marina di Campo, a short walk from the beach.
How far is the beach from each property?
Every Gemma is a few minutes' walk from Marina di Campo's beach: Villa Montecristo is the closest at about 1 minute (~80 m), Scalinate about 2 minutes (~150 m), and Villa Fornaci about 5 minutes (~350 m).
What is the minimum stay?
Villa Fornaci is booked Saturday to Saturday and Villa Montecristo Sunday to Sunday, both for 7 nights. The Scalinate apartment is more flexible: any arrival day, minimum 3 nights, throughout the season.
Are pets welcome?
Yes — we love them. Pets are welcome at all three homes for a €50 cleaning supplement (at Scalinate on request, as the stairs are narrow).
How do I book directly and save?
Booking direct with us avoids the platform commission you'd pay on Booking.com or Airbnb (around 20% more). Write to Giovanni on WhatsApp or by email for a quote; Villa Fornaci and Scalinate also offer instant online payment.
When is the best time to visit Elba?
Our homes open from late April to mid-November. May, June and September bring warm sea and quieter beaches; July and August are the liveliest. Our when-to-visit guide gives a month-by-month view.
