The Gems of the Archipelago
Holiday homes in Marina di Campo
An apartment in the historic centre and two villas, all a few minutes' walk from Elba's longest beach. Family-owned, and run that way.
Marina di Campo is the village where our homes were born, and the only place we have them: we don't cover the whole island, we cover this village well. An apartment in the historic centre and two villas just outside the heart of town, all with the beach within walking distance — one minute for the closest, five for the farthest.
Choosing Marina di Campo means choosing a holiday lived on foot: the sand in the morning, home for lunch, the harbour promenade in the evening. Below are the three homes with real distances, and further down the advice we give to anyone writing to us for the first time.

A person, not a call centre
Before, during and after your stay you talk to Giovanni, who lives on Elba all year — on WhatsApp, by email or by phone.
We know the village
The right beach when the sirocco blows, where to park in August, the evening the market comes: advice from someone who lives here, not from a guidebook.
Everything above board
Each home has its Italian national registration code (CIN), a written confirmation by email and clear payment instructions.
Living Marina di Campo
Marina di Campo has been a fishing port for centuries — the only one on the island's south side, the one facing Corsica. The late-16th-century tower closing the bay once watched for corsair raids; today it watches over a 1.3-kilometre beach, Elba's longest, with pale sand and shallow water.
The village is lived on foot: the promenade along the beach, the harbour with the boats coming home, the restaurants, the shops, the weekly market. It's a place where the car is for exploring the island, not for daily life.
Apartment or villa in Marina di Campo?
It depends on how you travel. As a couple or a four, with dates that don't fit a full week, the Scalinate apartment is the answer: historic centre, three-night minimum, check-in any day.
As a family or group of up to six with a week ahead, the villas offer a different measure: Montecristo for the sand one minute away and the gulf view, Fornaci for the large garden and the garage. In doubt, write to us: we'll tell you honestly which makes more sense for you.
Frequently asked questions
What holiday homes are there in Marina di Campo?
Our three Gems: the Scalinate apartment in the historic centre (4 guests, from €700 per week), villa Montecristo one minute from the beach (6 guests, from €1,800) and villa Fornaci with garden and garage (6 guests, from €1,200). We manage them directly as a family.
How far are the homes from the beach?
Real distances, measured on foot: villa Montecristo 1 minute (about 80 metres), Scalinate apartment 2 minutes (about 150 metres), villa Fornaci 5 minutes (about 350 metres). None of the three needs a car to reach the sea.
Do you need a car in Marina di Campo?
For daily life, no: beach, restaurants, shops and harbour are on foot from all three homes. A car is recommended for exploring the rest of the island. Fornaci has a private garage and Montecristo has parking; Scalinate, in the historic centre, has no private parking.
Is there an apartment in Marina di Campo for short stays?
Yes: the Scalinate apartment takes bookings from three nights, with check-in on any day of the week, all season long. The two villas rent by the full week.
When are the homes open?
The season runs from late April to mid-November. June and September are the months we recommend most often: warm sea, lively village, gentler prices than August. Our guide 'When to go' walks through the year month by month.
What do the prices include?
Direct prices are per week (or per night for Scalinate) and include final cleaning. We reply to every request with a clear quote, no surprise items; confirmation arrives by email with payment instructions.
