Villas on Elba Island

Two family villas in Marina di Campo — one with a large garden, one a minute from the sand — for a seaside week with space and privacy.

A villa on Elba Island is a precise way of being on holiday: the house as your base, the sea on foot, unhurried dinners while the kids play outside. Our two villas — Fornaci and Montecristo — are both in Marina di Campo, each sleeps six, and we look after them personally, with no agency in between.

They are not catalogue villas: they are our family's homes, furnished and kept as such. Below you'll find them compared, with real walking distances to the beach and starting prices; further down, an honest guide to choosing between the two.

Why book directly

An honest price

The same villas cost around 20% more on the booking platforms: book here and there is no commission. Final cleaning is always included.

A person, not a call centre

Before, during and after your stay you talk to Giovanni, who lives on Elba all year — on WhatsApp, by email or by phone.

Family villas, not catalogue stock

We furnished them and we maintain them. Real photos, honest descriptions, sincere advice on which one to choose.

Everything above board

Each villa has its Italian national registration code (CIN), a written confirmation by email and clear payment instructions.

A villa week on Elba

The villas rent by the week — arrival on Saturday for Fornaci, Sunday for Montecristo, check-in between 4 pm and 8 pm. Seven nights is the island's right measure: you unpack once, settle into the village rhythm and still have time to explore.

From Marina di Campo everything is close: twenty minutes by car to Portoferraio, even less to the coves of the west coast. But the beauty of a villa here is that the car often stays parked: beach, restaurants and market are on foot.

Fornaci or Montecristo?

We'll tell you the way we'd tell a friend. Choose Fornaci if outdoor space is the priority: 209 private square metres, the garage, a house that breathes even in August. The beach is five minutes away on flat ground.

Choose Montecristo if you want the sea below the house: one minute on foot from the sand, three bedrooms instead of two, the gulf view from the terrace. It is our highest-tier home, and in the central weeks of summer you feel it.

Can't decide? Write to us with your dates and who is coming: we'll tell you honestly which of the two makes more sense.

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to rent a villa on Elba Island?

Villa Fornaci runs from €1,200 to €3,700 per week depending on the season; villa Montecristo from €1,800 to €5,200. Direct prices include final cleaning; on the platforms the same villas cost around 20% more.

Which villa suits a family of six best?

Both sleep six. Fornaci offers more outdoor space (209 private m²) and a garage; Montecristo offers three bedrooms, two bathrooms and the beach one minute away on foot. It depends on what matters more to you: the garden or being next to the sea.

Do the villas have air conditioning and Wi-Fi?

Yes, both: air conditioning in every room and Wi-Fi. The full list of amenities is on each home's page.

Is there parking?

Yes: Fornaci has a private garage, Montecristo has parking. On Elba in high season, that detail matters.

How does arrival work?

The villas rent by the week: arrival on Saturday for Fornaci, Sunday for Montecristo, with check-in from 4 pm to 8 pm and check-out by 9 am. We send full instructions by email before you arrive.

Can I rent a villa for less than a week?

The villas, no: the full week is what keeps the homes cared for the way we want. If you're after a shorter stay, the Scalinate apartment takes bookings from three nights with check-in on any day.
